Youth is the Word!

Youth is the Word!

Having already filled the starting eleven with young players could Sir Alex be about to pluck another from a top Premier League club?

One Sunday tabloid is running a small piece that infers that Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping very close tabs on Ross Barkley at Everton.

Barkley is a mere seventeen years of age but is already establishing a reputation as somebody to keep an eye on, could he follow Wayne Rooney`s footsteps?

Keep an eye on things come January!

I can't imagine Everton even contemplating selling Barkley, the lad looks like a real talent. Wouldn't mind signing him I just can't see it happening .... unfortunately.

If we are going to raid Everton for youngsters we might as well pick up Rodwell as well whilst we're at it. We could do with a bit more steel in the midfield.

You can have Rodwell, he wouldn't really be missed. But you couldn't afford Barkley.

Take Rodwell, but keep your hands off Barkley. As Mike said, it would is going to take a massive offer to sell Barkley, much more than what we got for Rooney (Imagine 45mil would do it). The way he controls the game already is absolutely amazing, probably been our best player so far this season.

Issue is Everton have money problems, and would probably accept much lower than what the player is in fact worth - a damn shame if he goes for less than £10 mill
