Sir Alex Ferguson was true to his word then!

Whilst several others huffed and puffed and scrambled around trying to bring players in, Manchester united just watched all the hullaballoo from afar.

True there were rumours floating around that Wesley Sneijder had been spotted at Milan airport boarding a private jet and some others, posting Tweets, reckoned he`d breezed through customs at Manchester international, but it was all baloney.

Instead, nothing changed at United.

But have any of our rivals signed anybody that could upset the United apple-cart when it comes to retaining our title?

Well I`d have to say no!

Manchester City signed nobody of any significance, only a certain Owen Hargreaves who has yet to convince anybody he can last the pace without picking up an injury.

Chelsea signed Meireles, somebody who won`t give them the flair they lack, whilst Arsenal panicked and bought anybody they could. Rumour had it atone stage that they`d bid for Colonel Gadaffi, apparently Arsene had never seen him play but had heard everybody was after him.

So was it a successful transfer window for us?

I`d have to say yes, acquiring Young, Jones and De Gea early on in the window took the pressure off of us and now we`re set to prosper!

I'm happy with our transfer activity, still think we could do with another midfielder because at current we only have 3 CM's who in my eyes are 1st team quality in Anderson, Cleverley and Fletcher. Pogba, Petrucci and Morrison might be an option but they're young, going to be inconsistent and lack experience. Carrick is an option but the only reason he's staying has got to be something to do with him being the only somewhat defensively astute CM we have other than Fletcher and he adds experience. Giggs looks great in the CM position but he's not going to be playing for us for much longer. I don't have a clue what happening with Gibson back-up for the back-up perhaps?

Also, I'm not overly fussed about not signing Sneijder, I wouldn't of minded if we did get him but in my eyes for the money involved it wouldn't of been the smartest move. If we were to sign an AM there's many others I'd prefer over him.

I do love it when someone calls you dumb or a fool and they spell words like a Chav texting. I normally couldn't care for grammar or spelling but when someone is questioning your intelligence I can't help but point out the irony of it all. YENUSCO! K M8 CHELSEA R 5H1T BLUD U GET ME?
