'If It's Football, It's Vital'

One Last big Deal?

Between now and when the summer transfer window finally slams shut; we expect some wild rumours to do the rounds.

It promises to be an interesting period, as always.

Now whether United feature prominently in those rumours remains to be seen, some would say that United have bought well and that there`s no need to recruit anybody else.

Sir Alex Ferguson though, may beg to differ.

It wouldn`t surprise me in the least if the canny Scot had one more ace to play in this farcical time of the year.

Even more so when one news agency is suggesting that his assistant, Rene Mulensteen, has inferred that Wesley Sneijder could still be signed before that reference transfer window slams shut at 23:00 hours Wednesday evening.

Stand by your beds, anything could happen!

You never know Red Boy perhaps U*d will try hijack City's deal to sign Hargreaves. ;)

Anything can happen yes but us signing Sneijder now is near impossible. If one final signing were to be made i'd sooner it be a younger potential superstar AM or a solid potential superstar DM to act as cover or challenge Fletcher and Carrick to the DM spot or Anderson or Cleverley to the AM spot. Well I say AM and DM I mean CM's who who specialises either defensively or offensively so that way they can fit into the 4-4-1-1.

4-4-1-1? Wow, with 7 strikers on the books, how you going to keep them all happy if you only play one at a time? Taggart must be mad to have that many strikers on the books ;P

Its hillarious how the bitters are so excited about signing hargreaves, and think United fans are all over the place.. Cant blame the guy for wanting a slice of the salarypie they serve up at Wasteland, however I do think he would be better of a Westbrom or Wigan where he actually had a chance of getting minutes on the pitch. I highly doubt SAF will sign anyone, let alone Sneijder, I think we have shown what the youngsters are all about.

Nice to see Norwegians have a sense of irony to rival that of yanks Nerdkrap, or are you forgetting Ferguson having a go at City for having too many strikers on the books? Keep them coming mate, you've replaced "joke of the day" on my preferred reading list.

You want to talk of irony, it wasn't too long ago you were knocking us for picking up an injury prone Owen on a free and then you go and do the exact same but with Hargreaves.

You are completely oblivious to everything against City bluedub or have you just repressed all memories of fans mocking you for having enough strikers to field a team? fcb certainly remembers otherwise he wouldn't of brought up the irony.

Ferguson mentioned 8 at the time, but that was before we shipped a few out. We currently have 4 senior strikers on the books, with 2 from the reserves who might get some games in the Carling cup. Manure have 7 senior strikers, funny that everyone slated City, yet nobody questions the rags eh?

And before anyone goes all pedantic on me, Bellamy, Santa Cruz and Adebayor (all agent Hughesless purchases BTW) do not count as none of them will ever play for us again.

You see TF7 this is why I say that you talk *****. You constantly get facts wrong. You completely exaggerate anything decent U*d do, getting carried away with yourself and you're in denial about City representing the challenge that they do. What was your prediction for City last season again? More pertinently what was your prediction for City with about 10 games to go?

The only reason you say I and anyone else who has an opinion that doesn't agree with your opinion or is against City is chatting 5hit is because you're completely blinkered, City do no wrong in your eyes, atleast I have the b0ll0x to admit my club isn't perfect whereas you take this holier than thou approach. Prediction and fact are two different things Bluedub, I thought you would fall out of the top 4 and finish 5th, even a few of you City fans were saying last season could've ended up being very bad, 5th and trophyless, or very good, 3rd and the FA Cup and there was a very fine line between the two outcomes so how you can be so critical of a fair prediction is beyond me. Exaggerate anything decent United do? I'm sorry but smashing Arsenal 8-2 and saying your players have made a fantastic start to the season after watching them play some lovely football and win convincingly against both Arsenal and Tottenham is exaggerating? I don't deny the challenge City represent at all, I said before that I welcome the challenge or are you just making 5hit up now? Get a grip Bluedub and stop chatting 5hit yourself. fcb, it was 10 strikers, here's Fergies quote: "They have bought a lot of high profile players but they have 10 strikers. That is a hell of a lot." As for 7 senior strikers, First of all it's not 10, 7 is smaller than 10. Secondly, it's not even 7 senior strikers, Macheda and Diouf, like you said, are reserve strikers who may push for the 1st team but realistically we'll only really see Berby, Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez in the PL first team with Owen as a back-up.

Ha ha. Get your knickers out of that twist. My point about you exaggerating was in relation to your comments following CS amongst other things. I don't take a holier than thou approach, I defend my club from the incessant bull the likes of you spout. Your prediction only a few weeks ago was that Chelsea are your main rivals because City will struggle with having to play CL, so in short you're lying. It was far from a fair prediction considering the form the teams concerned were showing at the time. You were basically saying what you would like to see happen and ignoring what was staring you in the face. You carry on with your smug arrogance though it will make it all the sweeter when City do win the league ahead of U*d.

Smug arrogance? Pretty certain it's you who's displaying those traits rather than me. I'm guessing you don't quite understand the irony of that comment. You don't defend your club at all you victimise it. City spend 500 mil in 3 years and you've got the nerve to say us and us alone who destroyed the market and your simply paying the consequences?! Ridiculous! You sign the shoddiest sponsorship in football and put it down to 'speculate to accumalate' when in actual fact it's as clear as daylight that your Sheik asked his half-brother for a bail out. The fact that you sit there and tell me I chat 5hit when you spout drivel like that is laughable. "Chelsea are your main rivals because City will struggle with having to play CL, so in short you're lying." - We're 3 games in and my prediction is wrong already? Have you even played a CL game yet or suffered a European hangover? No. Are the 38 games over? No. So how am I lying? How is a prediction or opinion a lie? It can only be wrong or right not a lie. Take your own advice and stop talking 5hit bluedub because its tiresome.

You said a few weeks ago that City wouldn't challenge because they have to cope with CL football did you not? Now you're saying you welcome the challenge, which is it? Are we going to challenge or not? How is it the shoddiest deal when the figures are not even in the public domain? I never said you alone ruined the market, I said you kickstarted the ridiculous fees and wages in the market, another lie.

I never said you wouldn't challenge I said Chelsea were our main challengers so how you jumped from that to you not challenging is beyond me. In the same manner Chelsea were our main challengers last season Arsenal were still title rivals and were challenging us. How's it the shoddiest deal? Err, well, what have City done to justify such a massive sponsorship deal? Eithad are yet to announce a profit so where are they getting 500 mil to sponsor City with? It's a tad coincedental that the airline is owned by Mansour's half brother don't ya think? You keep on telling yourself it speculating to accumalate though. You blamed the market all on us Bluedub, you were ignorant of any foreign influence on the market or how other benefactors both pre and post our spending escalated the market, fecking hell you're lying about lying, that really is ridiculous.

Etihad announced a profit earlier this year, yet another fact you got wrong. I said U*d were responsible for distorting the market in England and they were, I never said they were alone in that, I said they kickstarted the distortion. We're going around circles here. lol this has turned quite nasty.
City will threaten, as will Chelski, and Liverpoo - only Arsenal will not threaten us this season.
I for one am quite happy at friendly banter between fans, and such, but sometimes us Utd fans get way too ****ty, as do you ABUs.
We are passionate about our respective teams, and personal attacks should be avoided (believe me I have had enough of personal attacks over the past few days due to something that has been in the papers about my family) as they quickly degenerate into a horrible melee...

Any team can in theory 'threaten' another for titles, cups and what not - but at the end of the season - certain teams will have won these titles and cups because they have deserved them - by playing football better than other teams.
Lets just leave it that and not get into horrible ****ty personal slurs on each other...

niteworlok couldnt agree more, in so many forums if someone disagrees with the opinion of others, people are quick to call each other morons, idiots etc., its pathetic really. 90% of all the discussions are speculations, best guesses and really only emotional outbursts coupled with very little facts. I myself love the banter, but when people take things to seroius, the name calling starts, and there is really no need.
