A Brucie Bonus?

A Brucie Bonus?

Despite signing ten players this summer, including several from Manchester United, Sunderland haven`t started too well.

Now whether it`s simply because the team hasn`t gelled yet or whether it`s because there`s still something missing in the Steve Bruce jigsaw, I`m not going to comment about.

But, I would like to point out that one news source reckons that Bruce will be coming cap-in-hand, to Sir Alex Ferguson, with a plea to take Federico Macheda on loan.

Macheda, who spent a season on loan in Italy last time around, is well down the Old Trafford pecking order with Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Javier Hernandez and Dimitar Berbatov all ahead of him.

Therefore, I wouldn`t be too surprised if Sir Alex Ferguson agreed to the loan deal, after all Danny Welbeck has come back a far more accomplished player after spending a season at the Stadium of Light!

I'm all for it. Macheda could do with the 1st team Premier League experience and he can only become a better player for it. He surely will be getting games when you take into consideration the Sunderland strikeforce. Par Gyan they're all very inexperienced.

A far better option than Peter Crouch who they're supposedly after and it won't cost 'em a penny par his wages which are surely lower than Crouch's. Save yourself 10 mil Brucey and do the smart thing.

It won't look such a good deal for Sunderland the day Quinn sees the light, sacks Bruce and then Fergie recalls his player in a purple-faced fit of pique. Preston anyone?

He does need to go out on a loan, to a club where he actually gets to play, not like when he went to Italy. He is only young and a season at either sunderland or newcastle will develop him into a fine striker, he has the talent, do doubt about that.
