Young on Top Form!

Since arriving from Aston Villa, Ashley Young has already shown that he is a great acquisition.

Able to play on the left flank, as well as drift inside, his Manchester United career has started brilliantly.

Against Arsenal his two goals were exquisite, curling efforts that left the keeper no chance and rivaled those two Wayne Rooney free kicks when it came to selecting the goal of the game.

Speaking afterwards, Young had a few words for the media, remarking,

"It was a great performance. Arsenal weren`t so good and we punished them."

"We`re always looking to create chances from the first minute to the end."

A point proven by the scoring of that eighth goal so late on!

As for Arsenal, was that the worst Arsenal team you can remember turning up (or not as it might be) at Old Trafford for many a year?

Ashley has been great since joining. I originally wasn't too sure of his ability and whether he was good enough to play at the United level, i'm glad to be proven wrong!

I'd forgotten how good he actually is and we always new he could play like that. He can have issues with consistancy though. It's great to see him in such good form, it makes me miss him playing for us even more!

Arsenal are still a very good team, even with the transfer movements of several players. We outclassed them totally on the day, and if we played them again with identical lineups, I would never expect us to get that scoreline again.
TBH we should have had maybe 14 - but I was more than content with 8 lol!

He reckons teams may score goals against us this year quite frequently, but if our strikers and wingers stay fit, we will always score more than them and win the matches lol
