'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vidic Move?

Money talks and there`s a new kid on the block, so to say!

The Russian side, Anzi Makhachkala; are desperate to make their mark in European football, having already signed Samuel Eto`o agreeing to pay him a record salary of circa £340,000 a week, they are now looking at signing a world-class defender.

Not surprisingly, when talking about world-class defenders, the name of Nemanja Vidic has popped up with several news sources inferring that a bid, in the region of £25 million, is imminent.

Although Sir Alex Ferguson is blessed with a plethora of centre back talent in Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Vidic, we reckon it`s very doubtful that Sir Alex would even consider letting the club captain go.

And as for the player himself, whilst money brings security, we can`t imagine he`d be tempted to move away from Old Trafford to a place so hostile the team are flown into the area to play their home games, from Moscow!

A definite non-starter we reckon!

25 mil?! A russian team that are paying Eto'o 340k a week I wouldn't even consider anything below 50 mil because you know they'll pay it. It's not going to happen, Vidic is going to stay.

Would have thought you'd be better off getting rid of Turdinand before his injuries put him out of the game permanently and you end up with another Hargreaves-type scenario. And for the record, turdiand would never be welcomed at our club ;)

Possibly Merlin, the internet is like a permanent retirment home for hostages to fortune! But was referring more to the likely arrival of Owen Hargreaves to the Blue camp - getting him for free would be a real coup, despite any reservations about his fitness.

Agree with you completely Famous, no way we will sell him for 25m, what a joke.. As for Hargreaves, they just cant get enough of United at Wasteland, probably paying him 300K£ a week..

Wasn't too long ago the City fans were knocking United for the free transfer of injury prone Owen, I guess we won't be hearing that one anymore.

Neither do we hear the "your broke" anymore, and the Tevez banter also seem to be dying out.. I also wish Hargo best of luck, he was a class player in his prime and when fit.

Careful nordkap, they've won the FA Cup dont ya know? Clearly something to be bitter about despite reaching the Champions League final and winning the Premier League.
