'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wesley v Cleverley!

The Manchester City banner may have been removed but another appeared at Old Trafford that bought a smile to many a face.

Fluttering in the breeze, as Arsenal tumbled to a spectacular defeat, it read,

Who Needs Wesley When We`ve Got Cleverley?

Another fine example of the humour displayed by football fans and even more rewarding when the player in question, Tom Cleverley admitted to spotting it and remarking about it and the game,

"I did! Wesley Sneijder is fantastic but if the fans think that I must be doing something right."

"It is a real pleasure to play in a display like that with world class players."

"I see in training that we have it in our locker but when it all comes together it is pretty exciting."

"We are a young, high energy team and hopefully we will keep on putting on performances like that and the trophies will come. We were ruthless in front of goal."

United certainly were and it has set the tone for the coming months we hope.

Who Needs Wesley When We`ve Got Cleverley? - I love it! I'm relieved his finally been given his chance and even more excited at the fact that not only has he stepped up and handled the pressure and demands incredibly well but he's also showcasing his potential. A bit more confidence when shooting outside of the box and he may add a few goals to his game as well as assists. Still wouldn't mind Douglas Costa though... :P

He looks great, tough, skillfull and great vision. He is still very young, and is still developing, Sneijder is worldclass, but also 27 years old. There is no dout that Cleverly will be key man for both United and England, and I am f...... loving it..

I read your comment Nordkap and for some reason thought of the 'ba da da da daaaaaaa' Mac Ds theme tune lol!

Tom WILL be a world class player in time, and thank god we have kept him, and now I would say we will NEVER get rid of him.
