'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hard Luck Danny

Watching United beat Arsenal apart yesterday, there was only one black mark to the whole day.

It came in the first half when Danny Welbeck, chasing a long pass, pulled up with a hamstring problem.

Immediately substituted, it looks as if Danny will be out for three to four weeks whilst the medical staff assist the body in its natural healing process.

Until that moment, Danny had been up their as a leading contender for star of the show. His running, his skills, his movement and his ability to forge a partnership with Wayne Rooney had seen Sir Alex Ferguson`s faith in awarding him a place in the starting eleven more than justified.

Sadly, the injury has also deprived Danny of a place in the England squad for the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifier against Bulgaria, in Sofia.

But one thing`s certain; we reckon his omission is only temporary, don`t you!

Such a shame and best of luck with a speedy recovery Welbeck. His been brilliant so far this season and has really showcased his potential.

It must be a bit of a blow to him, but he's young and should get plenty of chances in the future.

I have to admit though after the first half against Tottenham I couldnt understand why SAF didnt substitute him, and then when he featured from start against Arsenal ahead of Chica I was not a little baffled.. But boy was I wrong, a beauty against Tottenham and then the assist, and again against Arsenal he showed why SAF trust him. So who I am to even contemplate questioning SAF, the greatest of them all :)

It should have read, I was a little baffled. (Hate proof-reading and grammar check, sorry guys.) You'll get the point regardless.
