Could it be Villa?
Owen Hargreaves, despite being a free agent after being released by Manchester United, has yet to secure a deal.
The latest inference, according to media talk, is that Owen could well be on his way to Aston Villa.
The inference being that Alex McLeish is preparing to offer Hargreaves a pay-as-you-play contract.
Being a free agent, Hargreaves isn`t tied by the complexities of the transfer window, therefore, there isn`t a great rush to get any deal sorted, which is probably why he`s taking his time before deciding where to locate to next.

I don't think it's a case of him taking his time but rather the clubs interested taking their time. Best of luck to him where ever he ends up and I do hope he's well and truly past his injury problems.

Young looks like the bargin of the season, he did play for Villa yes, but also Watford, but what a player.. I feel a little gutted that we didnt keep Hargreaves on a pay as you play deal, he was the best DMC's in the game when fit, but I hope for the sake of England that he will be able to play at the highest level again.

Very good point about Young playing for Watford before Villa, in the same manner Downing was a Middlesborough player before Villa and Bent a Sunderland player.

irish villa we've already admitted that Fergie wasn't right in saying Man U haven't produced Englands talent, we were responding to Villa 4 Ever saying Aston Villa have when in actual fact you're in the same boat as us when it comes to producing England talent, it was all bought from other clubs.
