Welbeck`s a Starter!

The season long loan deal, up at Sunderland, appears to have done young Danny Welbeck a world of good.

Since coming back to Old Trafford, Welbeck has shown that his United future is secure and in the space of a few weeks it seems he`s convinced Sir Alex Ferguson there is no reason why he shouldn`t be an automatic starter with Sir Alex remarking,

"Right now, Danny picks himself, not only with his goal and display against Spurs, but also how he performed pre-season in America."

"He has this tremendous energy about him and he is all over the place. His movement is there all the time so it was an easy decision to go with him at the start of this season."

It`s great to see Danny grasping his opportunity!

It's great to see Welbeck stepping up to the plate. I'm not too sure why we're reject great offers for Berbatov when we've got him and Macheda. I suspect he might find it harder holding onto the first team place with Hernandez back now though, if he does then it's fully deserved.
