Berbatov Not For Sale!

Despite enquiries from several European clubs, Sir Alex Ferguson is adamant that Dimitar Berbatov will not be sold during the final few days of the transfer window.

Although Berbatov hasn`t featured as a starter this campaign, Sir Alex sees him as a key member of the squad and is quoted as having remarked,

"We`re not going to sell Berbatov - no way."

"He`s got the experience to play a big part."

"They all want to play, but the young players are picking themselves and at the moment the games are well space dout."

"But Dimitar`s been first class. No problem at all."

"When the Champions League and Carling Cup come along there will be opportunities for the other players to get games."

I guess the key is to grasp each opportunity a sit comes your way!

I like Berby, his style might not win most over but his skill is unquestionable. Issue is with him being in the last year of his contract and not getting no first-team action there's a massive risk of losing a 30 mil player for nothing. If PSG are offering 20 mil for a 30 year old in the last year of his contract who has struggled to sustain form you've got to be mad to say no. Even more bonkers when you take into consideration Welbeck looks a better player whilst Diouf, Macheda and Owen can play in the cup matches Fergie's talking about. Just the other day Fergie was saying it's better to take the money with regards to the Nasri situation so why aren't we taking the money here?

Agree Famous, I am big fan of Berba, but given the attacking options we have available, maybe it is time to sell him, though he is a fantastic player..
