'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Played for Both?

In recent years there has been considerable trade between United and Spurs.

Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov have both taken the step to move form North London to Manchester and I have expected Sir Alex Ferguson to show an interest in bringing the influential playmaker, Luka Modric, to Old Trafford.

But, when it come sot players that have worn the red of United and the white of Spurs, there are but 14 who have had that distinction, in a list that reads as thus:-

Dimitar Berbatov, William Berry, Alan Brazil, Jimmy Brown, Frazier Campbell, Michael Carrick, Garth Crooks, Henry Erentz, Terry Gibson, Thomas Gipps, John Hall, Chris McGrath, James McNaught, Teddy Sheringham.

I`m sure you`ll recognize some of the names but, like me, might not recognize several.

Anyone like to select their favourite five from the list?

Being a relatively young fan I can only recognise the more recent ones, my personal favourite of the lot has got to be Sheringham though.

Carrick only bad buy in recent seasons - never really performed as well for us as he did for them...
