The Art to Wing-Play?

The Art to Wing-Play?

One of the complications translation brings is that the true meaning of the subject matter tends to get diluted.

Let`s take the case of our Portuguese flyer - Nani.

Voted as our Player of the Year, last season, Nani has given an insight into the secrets of wing play.

If you read his comments you`ll see what we mean by the content getting diluted,

"I love it when the striker or winger makes the defender confused."

"That`s what I try to do - go left, then right, then left. Then after the skill I try to finish with something positive - pass or score."

It`s just a shame I can`t do the dodgy accent these translators always use!

Not all about skill though, Valencia and Bale are examples of speed and acceleration destroying players. Does explain his inconsistency during his early years though, he's infatuated with taking a player on and making them feel lost rather than just playing the ball. We're delighted to have ya Nani, 43 goal target this season, i'm sure you'll smash it :P

Young was great once again though his crossing was a bit off tonight. He just couldn't get enough height on 'em
