Those Noisy Neighbours!

Our noisy neighbours are getting noisier by the minute.

Having quickly forgotten their Community Shield beating, our noisy-neighbours have reached fever-pitch levels following their 4-0 win over Premier League new-boys, Swansea City.

Blinded by two goals from someone called Sergio Aguero, they`re bleating on about this being their season.

The Argentine lad, keen to be talking the talk as well as walking the walk, is under the misapprehension that he will make the difference this year, boasting to the media,

"This is my chance to change the league. This is a team with a lot of quality. I know it is a competitive league but I am here to win it in the end. I have played for just a few minutes but it was great to score."

We`ll see, we`ll see, although I have to say I`m brazenly confident that United will be leading the pack come next May, and as for the noise, haven`t we heard it all before but coming from elsewhere?

I might get a bit of stick for this but to me Aguero is just Tevez's replacement. Clichy is an alernative option at LB though not an entirely convincing one. Savic is just to bolster the squad so it can handle the numerous, more intense games and lets face it, he's not about to push into the 1st team. Nasri would be strengthening but even then there's still uncertainty over whether he will sign for them. In the event they do get Nasri i'm still not convinced, they've just got into the Champions League and i'm sure they'll feel that this year and I personally think they would do well to retain 3rd let alone consistently challenge throughout the campaign. Then there's Mancini who is far too cautious which is fine for getting in the top 4 of the Premier League but it's not enough to challenge. I still think it will be between ourselves and Chelsea.

They will challenge for the title - make no doubts about it - but they arent a team - they dont play with an understanding like a team that has been built together does - they are just individuals - fantastic individuals - but they dont seem to play as a team.
Only one I think really could be huge menace if he can control the midfield is Silva - hes class....

red boy thinks the Community Shield is now an important trophy now does he?and yes it has been forgotten in Manchester, it was and always will be a Pre Season Friendly, and yes the Reds won it, but not convincingly, as we scored 2 goals, and it was in the last minute that Nani scored , and from a mix up by 2 normally competant defenders, but the season started on Monday and you can only beat the team in front of you and we did that CONVINCINGLY....as the stats show, but if i was you lot i would be more worried over the keeper that is your net, what is it now 3 mistakes and 3 goals conceeded.... not a good start to his Swamp career is it? and he is NO Schmiechel either....be wary, very wary,..... a Massimo Taibe had the same status back in 2000 remember......

Desperate for hits again Red Boy? First up we're not neighbours, that would suggest we are both located in the same city nevermind the same neighbourhood and we are not. We're from Manchester, you're from Salford. Im sorry but is Aguero not simply stating his aim for the season? Nothing whatsoever to do with your lot, whereas in contrast all your players seem to talk about these days is City. Right now that's that out of the way, onto TF7, the fact that the core of this team is remaining intact for another season is in itself strengthening the team before any additions are even made. Clichy has strengthened our options at LB, he is easily in the top 5 LBs in the league as well as having years experience in this league over Kolarov, position strengthened. Savic gives us more depth at the back enabling us to rest more regular members of the defence, position strengthened. Aguero is a younger, faster, more technically gifted and more clinical version of Tevez, position strengthened, and Tevez hasnt left yet so not necessarily his replacement, maybe even his strike partner. Niteworlok, I'm surprised by your comment, you are normally one of the more level headed members on Vital U*d, this team proved last year that it is no longer a group of individuals, they have gelled into a unit, this was evident in the brilliant finish we had to the season. I'm not going to make any claims that City are going to win the league but one thing I do know is that we will challenge, even a blind man can see that.

Bluedub - first couple of matches you guys havnt seemed all too comfortable with each other - dont get me wrong - another 10 matches or so and I think it will click - don't be surprised by my comments - your team has looked slightly disjointed at the start of this season - it will come - and am I glad I picked Aguero in my fantasy team now lol - actually got a few City players in that team :P
