No Sneijder Deal?

Is Sir Alex Ferguson telling the truth or is he playing those curious mind-games again?

With no further movement on a possible deal for the Inter Milan midfielder, Wesley Sneijder, Sir Alex had this replay for the journalists who dared ask about more recruitment at the West Bromwich Albion press conference,

"You can forget anyone you like, I`m happy with the youngsters I`ve got here."

"When you take the roll call of players, I`m certainly not looking to add to that."

Never take on Sir Alex at poker is all I`ll say!

I think he's telling the truth. There's simply too much money involved with Sneijder for it to be made possible. I'm glad we're beginning to use our youth, Cleverley and Welbeck have been so deserving of their chance and it really strengthens us as a team. Financially we're saving millions and there's a greater chemistry within a squad that have all grown up together. I was pleased Fergie went on to mention Pogba, it inspires hope that we will see more youngsters playing in the future, something thats been a miss for quite some time.

Famous You are bang on. We should trust the youth, otherwise whats the point of having an academy, Sneijder is not worth the money if the figures in the press are correct, we are much better of trusting the talented youth.

Sneijder would have been a great signing for us - but the money is silly - especially with artifical teams like City paying stupid wages like they do.......
