Let me entertain you!

Let me entertain you!

For a moment I thought Dimitar Berbatov was going to break out into song with his 'let me entertain you' thoughts.

Entertainment is the name of the game for many as far as football is concerned and the Bulgarian is one of footballs entertainers for sure!

This, as he told MUTV, is what he wants to do, and is what he wants to see from football when watching it: 'I'm always ready to entertain. It's because when I watch a game, I don't want to see people falling asleep during it.

'Even if I watch a game, if it's boring for me, it doesn't matter if it's Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other big club playing, I just switch off the TV. I don't like boring games, I want entertainment and that's what the fans want as well.

'That's what we try to give them and I can only speak about myself and try to give entertainment to everybody.'

You want to win, although you want to be entertained too.

Berbatov, as said, is one of the most entertaining footballers around, even if he comes across as lazy at time - there is no reason why he, and United, cannot entertain and win! And I am sure this will be the case this season more often than not.

It riles me with his languish style sometimes - as he doesn't even seem to track back - but most of his touches are sublime - he IS an entertainer - and I thank him for his commitment and contribution last season - but do feel his time with us has come to an end or is coming close to an end....

Hopefully this season we will see more entertaining performances similar to the performance v City from the squad in general. Berby is very entertaining player when on form, acrobatics, nice 1-2 play and a sublime first touch but his only ever shown his true form during the 1st half of last season. I know he doesn't feel it's his style nor suit him to really put a shift in but it can't be coincidence that when he does work he reaps the rewards for it. Like niteworlok I do thank him for his efforts in a United shirt but also I can't help but feel that with Macheda, Welbeck and possibly Diouf looking set to take his place, the United chapter in his career is coming to a close. I just hope we get something for him instead of losing him on a free.
