Bebe out for 6-months

Bebe out for 6-months

The immediate impact is of not of 'serious' concern to United, although the news that Bebe has suffered a cruciate ligament injury is a blow.

Besiktas, as they announced on their official website, have confirmed that their summer signing as a loanee from United was injured playing for Portugal against Slovakia at U21 level on Tuesday.

He will be out for 6-months: 'a scan has shown an anterior cruciate ligament tear to his left knee and he will be unable to play for six months.

'Surgery is required and we have contacted Manchester United and there will be a joint decision about where the operation will be done.'

The 21-year-old is not going to make the grade at United and his big money signing is looking like a bad one by Sir Alex, although how well he comes back from this injury will determine how much of that fee can be clawed back in the future when he is sold.

And it is expected that Bebe will be sold down the line...

Yeah - saw flashes of brilliance from him for a few seconds - then stupid poor touches and over running of the ball...

Another with bundles of potential but is perhaps just too raw to ever realise it.
