'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cleverley 'gutted'

The ever-escalating riots in London meant that England's friendly with Holland was today postponed amid safety concerns.

Tom Cleverley's chance has therefore passed him by and he is, as he told his facebook page, 'gutted' at not getting his chance at senior level: 'gutted the game has been called off, can't begin to describe my feelings at the moment!'

It is a blow for the United man, although merely getting the call that he did and training with the squad was a bonus.

The 21-year-old will get further opportunities in the future I am sure.

No need to feel gutted just keep developing and putting in brilliant performances and there's no doubt in my mind he'll be in the set-up again in no time. No matter how well he performs at the moment though he won't budge the untouchables like Gerrard and Lampard no matter how well he performs or how badly they perform. Funny though how now he's in a United shirt Capellos noticing him but when he was playing for Wigan he never got two looks despite being a class act for them. I can guarentee if he had the hype surrounding him that Wilshere had surrounding him he would've been in the England team yonks ago.
