Evra sits it out

Patrick Evra is going to sit out France's friendly with Chile tomorrow through injury.

A knock in the community shield on Sunday left him with a knee injury, this left him unable to train on Monday so former United defender, and now France coach, Laurent Blanc has opted against risking him.

No need to take anyway risks in a friendly, and Sir Alex certainly would not have wanted this!

I hope he's fit and ready for Westbrom. A fantastic LB though at times, more recently, his been defensively suspect. That said, with Fabio waiting maybe we won't miss him too much.

Last season he was poor - he was at fault for several goals that changed the result of away games, some of his acrobatic clearances did not come off - when hes on form hes amazing - but when hes just plodding along hes terrible.
