Cleverley called-up by England?

Tom Cleverley has been called-up by Fabio Capello for the Holland game, well according to what sky sports 'understands' anyway.

From Vital England:

With withdrawals from the England squad 'expected' in the next day or so, some replacements will 'probably' come in...

According to what sky sports 'understands' there has been a first call-up for one of Man United's youngsters?

It is being 'reported' that the U21 has been drafted into the squad to face Holland after impressing as a sub in the charity shield on Sunday, having also impressed during a season-long loan with Wigan last time round.

As featured on Vital England (feel free to leave comments here and there, using your same vital logins on each).

I think its too soon for the lad - but he probably won't play next weekend - amybe a little England run out will do him the world of good (at senior level).

I hope he's an unused sub so he can play at the weekend. It was hardly a surprise that with Carrick off and Cleverley on our midfield looked so much better and I would like to see the Cleverley-Anderson midfield pairing again against Westbrom. What a stupid time to have an international friendly anyway.

Well - hopefully we have some youngsters playing in that match - especially if we are a couple of goals up!

Oh great Carrick pulled out. That must mean Fergie wants him fresh for Westbrom which can only mean bad news for us. I understand an Anderson-Cleverley pairing doesn't quite provide the steel needed in midfield but at the same time Carrick is worryingly getting worse. Since Iniesta and Xavi demolished him in 2009 he never looked the same player and from what I saw against City not only can he no longer pass the ball but he can no longer provide defensive cover or even intercept the ball. Need Fletch back ASAP because Carrick is holding us back. I'm happy for him to stay but he surely must be resigned to a squad role rather than the 1st team starter.

Cleverley isnt ready yet - a squad player this year, then next year I reckon he will be a 1st teamer...
Wish Carrick would be sold or even be used as part of a transfer swap :P

Well - doesn't even look like this game will go ahead - wonder if any of the fixtures this weekend will be cancelled due to the mindless idiotic violence.......
