The Alternative to Sneijder?

The word is that Wesley Sneijder has been given a week to agree to a United move!

Apparently, if the rumours are correct, Inter and United have agreed a fee but the problem of Sneijder`s salary has yet to be resolved.

Sneijder, in China with Inter, has been offered some kind of a deal and United are waiting to see if the problems have been resolved.

If not, the grapevine is suggesting, today, that United could turn their attention to Mario Gotze, who plays for Borussia Dortmund and Germany.

It`s getting more interesting by the day!

I wish we would just buy someone already

Gotze is a fantastic player, one I wouldn't mind seeing play for the club. The perfect player for what we need however, if Borussia won't sell us Kagawa I can't see them being all too willing to sell Gotze.

WTF...How can you go from Schneider to Gotze??? Schneider is an established, world class playmaker with first team experience at ajax, real madrid, Inter and the Dutch national team...Gotz has played 30 odd games for Dortmund and 6 (friendly) games for Germany as a sub. Gotz (only 18) will be quality in years to come but you need someone in for Scholes now...Surely Schewinsteiger, Marin or Kroos would be a better option? Schweinsteiger being the obvious choice and available for £15m - £20m....THINK

Schweinsteiger just signed a 5 year contract a little whilst ago, he's not going to happen. Inter aren't interested in selling Sneijder unless we bust a gut and break the bank to get him as well as pay him killer wages, it's unlikely to happen. Gotze is a youngster but he can be as influential as Wilshere is for Arsenal whilst having the potential to be even better. He also fits the bill with our recent signings, someone who has the potential to be brilliant but who can also offer something to the team now.

Woo Hoo more "Potential" thats what we need right now more potential lets sign another ten Bebe's and maybe in 5 years time we will have a great team, what's that you say, we need a world class midfielder in now? Its ok we have Carrick and the ever consistent Anderson, we are sorted for the next 10 years bring on the whole of Europe, Carrick's is town. ffs come on signing anyone but a world class midfielder such as Sneijder will reinforce the belief in our rivals that we are seriously there for the taking especially when they look at our team sheet and see the dynamic Carrick with his vast array of passing skills(all backwards) and the ever reliable Anderson(the only Brazilian who is goal shy).

Anderson aint goal shy - he just can't shoot (unlike Ashley Cole)
