Valencia Winning Fitness Battle!

With his pre-season having been interrupted with an ankle knock, there were doubts as to whether Antonio Valencia might miss the start of the 2011/2012 season.

Now whilst we`re unable to categorically state that Valencia will be available for that opening match against West Bromwich Albion, we are hearing rumours that the Ecuadorian is winning his fitness battle and has started some light running work with a view to stepping up training later this week.

Let`s keep those fingers crossed in the hope that Valencia is available and his inclusion in the squad provides Sir Alex Ferguson with another option.

Come on Valencia! Great news, he's a fantastic player.

Missed him last season when he had that injury - glad he came back looking fresh - if we would have had him all season maybe we would have won by more points, and those ABUs could have been shut up by people saying we started to look like our old selves, the great team we are :P
