Fergie`s Barcelona Thoughts

Fergie`s Barcelona Thoughts

Following the moral boosting win over Barcelona, Sir Alex Ferguson seemed pretty happy with the current state of affairs.

Heading towards a weekend whereby a United XI will participate in the Paul Scholes testimonial before heading to Wembley, on Sunday, to take on Manchester City in the Community Shield, Sir Alex had this to say,

"We`re happy winning the match against Barcelona."

"Both teams made a lot of changes so it`s difficult to gauge exactly the importance of the result."

"But the expectation is for us to win all games and we`re delighted to go into the season with a winning frame of mind."

"We`ve integrated the new players well - they`ve done well settling in with players they don`t really know."

"I`m sure we`re fit, I`m sure we`ve got a good squad and I`ve got some good young players coming through."

"These are all plusses. We have a squad able to deal with the demands of the English game and European game."

Bring it on, it seems ages since last season finished!

Can't wait for the new season to begin. Hopefully this season we start and finish well rather than just the latter, if we do we'll run away with it.
