Fletcher Makes Progress

It looks as if our Scottish international midfielder, Darren Fletcher, is finally back on the way to full fitness.

After, apparently, having a recurrence of the virus that saw him sidelined last season and lose several stone in weight, Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that he is back in full training, commenting,

"Darren has had a tough few months but he is back in full-scale training after his virus and he is an ideal player for this Manchester United team in terms of his energy and ability to close games down."

We truly hope so!

Happy as can be to have him back. I've been morbidly depressed when looking at our midfield without him. Box-to-box, decent pass, good cross, good tackle, good height and header and easily another underestimated player. If Anderson can replicate his ability but more attacking than defensive the midfield would look more complete.

Our first choice centre midfielder by a long way, hopefully he will have a new partner in midfield for the upcoming season.
