Evans - Make or Break Season?

Evans - Make or Break Season?

Having seen Chris Smalling and Phil Jones arrive over the last two summer breaks, Jonny Evans could be forgiven for thinking that his future at Old Trafford is under threat.

Even more so when Jonny openly admits that last season wasn`t one of his best with the Irish defender being quoted in the Sunday press as having remarked,

"I didn`t have the best year and there was talk that I was leaving. But I never believed the boss would sell me and I have never doubted his belief in me. My game lacked consistency and I aim to improve that. I am the senior one out of me, Chris and Phil, having been here longer, which will make me stronger."

But, I may not be alone in stating this, but I`m of the opinion that this could well and truly be a make or break season for Jonny Evans!

I don't think Evans will be moved on anytime soon. He needs to step up his game but he's a useful player and in fairness began playing well at LB towards the end of last season and looked equally as good at CB so far during preseason. Look back to when he was first drafted into the first eleven when Rio's injury problems first began to crop up and you'll see he still has massive potential that needs filling.

Got a feeling he will be our new O'Shea.
