'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Anymore for Anymore!

The messages coming out of Old Trafford are somewhat mixed.

Sir Alex Ferguson is hinting that there will be no more signings whilst David Gill is hinting that the money is there for a purchase or two.

Now whether that`s the reason why one news source has resurrected the rumour that we`re about to rekindle our interest in Inter Milan`s Wesley Sneijder, is hard to confirm.

Perhaps the mixed messages emanating from Old Trafford could be to hide the fact that a raid on South America, a happy hunting ground for United over the past few years, is about to be launched.

That could be one reason why one news source is peddling the implication that United are set to launch a triple raid on Brazil and looking to bring the following players to England - Adryan (Flamengo), Lucas (San Paulo) and Ganso (Santos).

Let`s sit back and see shall we!

But I get the distinct feeling there could well be one more arrival, at least, this summer!

it all depends on which Free transfers/Loanees some clubs are prepared to let go,eh Sluralex?
cityman51
Back to the no money nonsense? How desperate, especially considering our spending so far.
TheFamousNo7
I'd sooner sign a potential world class youngster who can make a decent impact now rather than spending 40 mil on a player who will cripple the clubs finances. Also, how many world class midfielders are available? I'd sooner wait until January and see the state of our midfield and the impact, if any, the youngsters made and if worse comes to worse there's the possibility of signing one of De Rossi or Nasri on the cheap or trying to get them on a free for next year assuming they don't sign a contract .
TheFamousNo7
Nasri!!!!! you avin a laff TF7? Even the 'Dark lord' himself has given up on that one, as IF, he does leave the Arse then he's coming to Manchester not Trafford..... But hey, no harm in dreaming eh!!!!
cityman51
Dreaming?! That's you mate or did you miss his comments about wanting to win trophies and not caring about money. lol! The only way you'd get him over us is if you made yourselves look like mugs again and pay extortionate prices. That said, with Arsenal players history of flopping when leaving Arsenal maybe it's better you do have him.
TheFamousNo7
Oh...its San Paolo!I thought its Sao Paolo.
Dannism
I thought you put a space after exclamation marks: "San Paolo!I". Everyone makes mistakes.
TheFamousNo7
Tf7 go for Nasri, ask him where he want to go, as i have said The Dark Lord HAS given up on that transfer.... AND I QUOTE ''HE IS GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE'' it may be City it may not... BUT one thing is certain IT'S NOT TO MANURE.... even looks like Sneijder is not coming either.... all deals seem to be done down Trafford park way....
cityman51
Here's a few quotes for you cityman. First of all, the rest of Fergies quote: "Maybe he will have to stay." interestingly Fergie also said: "I don't know if the (Arsenal) directors will enjoy that one, but it is possible." almost as if he's directly speaking to the Arsenal board to entice a move. I thought our summer spending was done and dusted ages ago that was until Gill came out with:"We are looking at one more player to bring in" not just any old player but a "world class" player. Also, do you really reckon Wenger will be accepting any bids from the "disrespectful" Mancini any time soon? It would take a pretty penny I reckon. As for Sneijder, here's a quote from the Inter chief executive: "Is Wesley definitely not for sale? I don't think there's anything that can't be sold, it all depends on the price.", however I think thats more of an advertisement than telling us he's available but all the same it means everything is wide open again. Personally couldn't care if we didn't get Modric, Nasri or Sneijder, they were never my personal preference's anyway, i've said it before and I will say it again, I'd sooner us take a punt on Douglas Costa, a player who's got the potential to be the next Sneijder or Iniesta for a fraction of the price.
TheFamousNo7
so it will all boil down to MONEY then, NOT History or trophies won then as Most of you fans spout about City 'Buying' success or a team? no, as we all know Utd have brought all their teams through the Youth system... or was it just the 1 year and then it was 5players in that team, Ratboy Bros, Scholes, Beckham, Giggs... or did all the rest come through the system too, like Keane, or Cole, Smeichel, Bruce, Pallister, and even the 'wonder' kid Lee Sharp was bought from Torquay or somewhere round that area..not brought through the youth system.....ALL TEAMS HAVE BOUGHT SUCCESS, UTD JUST BEEN LONGER AT IT, with the Floatation on the Stock Market making it easier for the club to boost finances... AND for Glazer to buy it,what goes around comes around....
cityman51
What are you babbling on about now? It's gone from Nasri to buying success? How'd you make that jump? Why don't you actually go tell the people who have accused you of buying success rather than me? Whilst you're at turn the caps lock off will ya.
