United - Getting Tougher!

Having won, comfortably, our first three games on the USA tour, the opposition is expected to get tougher.

Whilst not deriding the merits of playing New England Revolution, Chicago Fire and Seattle Sounders, I`d imagine that the MLS All-Stars XI (containing David Beckham and Thierry Henry) and Barcelona (on Saturday) will provide a clearer indication of where we are with regards to where we should be with the new Premier league season fast approaching.

It`s a point Sir Alex Ferguson has latched on to with the gaffer commenting,

"The MLS team will be much stronger with David and Thierry in the side. Two incredible fantastic footballers. We need this match now."

Let`s hope we are on track!

Should give us a good indication of who should be playing for us in the coming season and who shouldn't. It's a winnable, non-competitive, friendly game, so if I see Carrick passing it backwards and still getting into the first team for the coming season whilst the youngsters waste in the stands (as they're the only reason I can imagine us not spending on the midfield) I might just go insane.

Gotta spend. I you will be pleases no7 at the news we are appaerntly in for Douglas Costa. I will literally take any midfielder at the moment.

The MLS Allstars a tough match? LMAO! The good players are all nearing retirment and the ones that aren't about to draw their pensions are not very good. Not to mention the fact that they've only trained together a couple of times. Then again, I don't see united taking it too seriously, what with your players out boozing and whoring til the small hours. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2018971/Ryan-Giggs-gyrates-belly-dancer-Manchester-United-party-New-York.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

I don't think you should be underestimating any opponent, especially when you could only manage a draw against LA Galaxy. I know it's preseason but Beckham, Henry, Donovan and Marquez are all very good palyers and the team as a whole is decent, not brilliant granted but decent. Also, why should we be taking it serious? It's only a friendly afterall. Like most people would in the states, the team are enjoying themselves.
