Enticing Nasri?

The future of the Arsenal forward, Samir Nasri, remains uncertain.

The Frenchman hasn`t signed a new deal at Arsenal and several Premier League clubs are still, supposedly, in the running to sign him.

Our own Frenchman, Patrick Evra, has once again, over in the USA, gone on record with his views on why Nasri should sign for us, remarking to the assembled journalists,

"I`ve talked a lot with him in the holidays and told him how great it is to play for Manchester United and how important it would be for him to become one of the biggest players in the world."

"I remember I made that little joke saying that he`s a prince now but if he wants to be the king then he has to join Man United - and I`ve told him that I said 'If you want to won trophies, you have to come here."

"In five years I`ve won 12 trophies and I don`t know if I`d have won more than that with another club. So I just told him the truth."

"I don`t know how negotiations are at the moment but he has a lot of clubs interested in him and he has to think."

"I just told him how good it would be fro him coming here. He will have a nice welcome and I can help as well because I`m French."

"We`ve spoken a lot in the summer and also when we meet up for friendly games with France at the end of the season. It was looking interesting but I don`t know, we`ll have to see."

My feeling is that Nasri will, despite what has been said, remain at Arsenal!

Can you imagine your ire if an Arsenal player had made similar comments about a United player in the last year of his contract? Evra seems to be acting under instruction and he is not even making things subtle. Disgraceful.

"Evra seems to be acting under instruction" - How is that exactly? Is Wenger instructing Wilshere to tap-up Cahill by trying to persuade him to join him at Arsenal?: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/865118-gary-cahill-tapped-up-for-arsenal-transfer-by-jack-wilshere-during-golf

Don't get me wrong I don't agree with this one bit but all the same Arsenal shouldn't be taking a moral high ground when your own players do the exact same thing. Teapot calling the kettle black springs to mind.
TheFamousNo7
Evra, It was understandable when a journo asked you a loaded question and you responded with 'join United' something completely expected by a United player. However, I can't help but feel let down by you putting pressure on Nasri and publically trying to persuade him. If Nasri asked you 'what's it like at United' then fair dues but it can't imagine it being the case. It's understandable that friends in football talk and they ask for advice and it's also understandable that you want a mate playing for you but there's ways of conducting it and making it public knowledge isn't the way of giving advice.

TFNO7, I am not taking the moral high ground here. I am just calling a fact a fact. Evra has tapped up Nasri and that is a fact. If Wilshere is at fault that is wrong as well. Wilshere is 19 and inexperienced in these matters and am sure he will be given a talking to. Evra is an experienced campaigner and an ex captain of the French National team. It doesn't stop him from being an utter tool though.

evra is a big looser. arrogrant ****. I cant wait liverpool scoring 5-0 and arsenal scoring 7-0 against this c*ap club.

I hate to say it and as much as I dislike it, this technique of signing players seems to of been adopted by pretty much every big side their is and the simple fact is, you're going to get left behind and have your targets taken if you don't adopt it. Look in recent years, Ribery, Benzema and Varane we're all taken from under our noses because Zidane tapped them up. You yourselves are losing Fabregas due to Barca's players, whilst Evra is talking to his 'friend' Nasri and Wilshere is trying to persuade Cahill to join you. Chelsea's Terry is publically speaking of Modric.
