Not For Sale!

Any thoughts United may have had of luring the AS Roma midfielder, Daniele de Rossi to Old Trafford appear to be over.

Although contract talks between the Italian midfielder and his club may have broken down, the AS Roma sporting director, Walter Sabatini, insists the player is not for sale.

Short and to the point!

Once again, another player we were never in for. I'd reckon the not for sale was moreso aimed at the Milan clubs or Juventus than ourselves.

And again another player we should at least be considering. This whole not for sale bs is nothing more then the first response in bartering, if ourselves, *****y or chavski offered 35 or 40 million de Rossi would be on a plane to England and his ticket would be paid for by Roma.

De Rossi is an awesome player who has lost his way a little bit in the past two seasons. Roma will sell him if the price is right and he wants to leave, just as Arsenal will sell Nasri rather than let him leave for free. I'll admire Roma if they do keep him and let him leave for nothing next summer, but they would be commiting financial suicide.

Hopefully in January Fergie kills to birds with one stone and signs on both Nasri and De Rossi via bosman rule or bargain bucket prices :P A guy can dream. Unfortunately the writing was on the wall when Fergie gave the likes of Sneijder, Ozil, Vidal and Sahin a miss and instead chose to give Carrick, a player who's been**** poor par a couple of performances for the last 3 seasons, a contract extension instead. I really hope the gamble works out and this season proves to be Anderson or Cleverley's break through season, if not them atleast Morrison, Pogba or Petrucci, anyone of them must be capable of doing more than pass it backwards Carrick-esque style.
