'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It Makes Sense!

With the future of City`s Carlos Tevez still up in the air, Sir Alex Ferguson has thrown his hat into the ring and spoken about why he was sold to our noisy-neighbours!

According to Sir Alex, Tevez isn`t looking for a long career in the game with Sir Alex telling the media,

"Tevez told us he was only going to play for four more years."

"If we had signed him on a five year contract knowing that he was going to quit in four, there would have been no re-sale value for us."

"I`m not sure Inter would pay £45 million, especially after he`s said he wants to go back to Argentina to see his kids. I can see him staying at City."

Not much escapes Sir Alex does it!

God my hangover is killing me - that should read 2008, not 1998! ;)

Yeah, and Tevez is crap and you never wanted him either. Voldemort in 1998: "That is without question part of our future planning is to have Carlos Tevez at the club on a long-term situation and I think David Gill is progressing that as best he can," declared Ferguson. "But there is no question we all want him to stay - including the club, the directors and David Gill - and hopefully we can come to that solution."

Fergie, Fergie, sign him up, Fergie, Fergie, sign him up, Fergie, sign him up! Your fans chanted and old baconface made the offer, Tevez turned you down, what a poor face saving exercise two years on...

If City can't move him on I think Ferguson might be looking at a lawsuit. I hope he can prove what he's saying because if he can't he is open to being sued.

However, the 27-year-old forward has distanced himself from those claims and it is suggested he will continue his career for another eight years. “At no time did he discuss retiring with the Manchester United management and Mr Ferguson has not mentioned this at any time before,” a spokesman for Tevez said.

http://www.sport360.com/football/news/1213-tired-at-26-tevez-thinks-of-retiring --- I don't think it's the reason for us not signing him perhaps more of a case of watching the pennys. Tevez is constantly moaning about how tired he feels, how he's fed up and blah, blah, blah. You don't play him enough (in his eyes, despite him having more minutes that Torres on the pitch during his 2nd season and being poor, in fairness he justified his place on the pitch more than Berby at the time) he complains. You play him too much he complains. A couple of years ago I wanted him to stay, I chanted for him, I backed him 100% of the way, he then commits a masssive betrayal and spits in the face of the fans he 'loves'. That wasn't enough though, he began unneccessarily insulting United legends and icons and then is shocked when we jeer him. I'm not going to lie Tevez left a bitter taste in my mouth, though the bitterness I tasted is incomparable to the bitter taste left in Tevez's mouth by Fergie, heck, he displayed it before he even left with his 'celebration' (more of a desperate plea) in an attempt to prove Fergie wrong. He then starts moaning about everything from the sky being blue to the grass being green. After working in the country for 5 years he still hasn't been bothered enough to learn the language. Then you get the boring will-he won't-he sagas and all the drama surrounding his family. In retorspect, despite the displays he's put in for City since signing for them, i'm glad he didn't sign on with us.

I'm sure you are glad he didn't sign for you Famous, but that doesn't disguise the fact that Taggart is blatantly lying his pants off over this - Un***d clearly wanted Tevez but couldn't afford him at the time, and I'm certainly glad we managed to get the best out of him, something that Taggart never did and is clearly still quite bitter about.

And how would Ferguson know? He can hardly speak English himself and Tevez can't at all? He might have had been able to add to the debt this year but not in the last two when he has been reduced to 'Arry type signings plus......Berbatov
