For The Last Time!

For The Last Time!

Its history; just let it go, let`s forget about it and move on!

Okay, so we lost to Barcelona but that was in May, time has moved on, the new season is approaching, new hopes to be realized, new dreams to dream, so these are positively the last words that relate to that night at Wembley and they come from our captain, Nemanja Vidic,

"The most important thing for a team like United is that in the last five years we have won four titles."

"We have played in three Champions League Finals. It`s important to have new players to bring new energy and hunger, to fight for positions."

"So we have really healthy competition in the team. That`s very important."

"I don`t know why people are always asking Manchester United players how we`re going to bridge that gap (with Barcelona)."

"This team is a successful team. We are doing some good things. We don`t have any problems with the Barcelona players."

"We respect them but we are not scared to play against them. We will try and do our best to be better and try and win the Champions League again."

"We won the Premier League, which was a big target. We got to the Champions League final. We have to say Barcelona performed much better than us."

"Yes we were disappointed and we could and should do better. But we have to forget what happened, take some points from that game and improve ourselves."

Right done and dusted, let`s all move on!

The simple fact is there's not a club on this planet who are even remotely close to Barca. No team can play their own style of football and beat them, no team can play Barca's style of football and beat them and very few teams can adopt a defensive style and beat them and the ones that have haven't done it regularly. You can't close the gap, you can only hope that when you play them they don't give you a complete a55 whoopin.

Interesting documentary on Channel 4 this evening. Anyone seen it yet? Here's a clue: http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dispatches/articles/how-to-buy-a-football-club-video

That's what I thought this headline was about Fifth. What interesting company that exemplar of all that is decent in football, Surrralex, keeps. I'm sure, as his lawyers pointed out at the end of the programme, that the 'business man' in the film who mentioned the knighted one every five seconds, and who had dinner with Surralex in Manchester when he flew in, has pictures with Surralex all over his own premises, really is just a mild acquaintance, and not the 'brother' that he claims. No no, Surralex wouldn't associate himself with people like that, dear me no. OK maybe dinner, and OK maybe meet with him when abroad, but nothing else. And as for the ridiculous treatment of Brian 'football's a business' Robson, well, you could see from the programme that Robbo only had the interests of the game at heart, couldn't you? What a great 'World Ambassador' for United his is...you lot must be so proud.
