Sneijder Deal Now Imminent!

Although Inter Milan tried to claim that they`d received no offers for Wesley Sneijder and that he wasn`t in any talks to move anywhere, the internet is still implying different.

In fact it looks very much as if Sneijder will become a Manchester United player inside the next forty-eight hours.

We understand that David Gill is in Milan and that a deal has been brokered that will see Manchester United break their transfer record with Sneijder coming to Old Trafford and picking up 190,000, a week, in wages.

If so this will be the biggest transfer, this summer, by far in the Premier League and will stand United in good stead for a sustained trophy challenge next season!

Except Fergie has now confirmed what I said before, that we were never in the market for him. --- http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_7036521,00.html --- So, with Nasri, Modric and Sneijder being ruled out of the running that leaves Douglas Costa!! :D
TheFamousNo7
Famous , let me ask you a question...has Fergie ever been known to telll a porkie especially in the transfer window??? The correct answer to this question should at least give you pause for thought!..Im not saying hes lying on this occasion but there should be some room for doubt!
Blue_Mel
The only thing I doubt is the substance of the story in the first place. Look at the evidence against the transfer. Fergie said Scholes is irreplaceable. Inter said Sneijder is 'untransferrable'. Inter have said Sneijder is not for sale. Fergie has said Inter won't want to sell. Sneijder has said he's happy at Inter. Fergie was chasing after Nasri, another deal he doesn't think will happen and will instead look to the academy, where we have Petrucci, Pogba, Cleverley, Morrison, James and the like. The policy implemented whereby we won't buy any players over the age of 26 for extortionate fees, Sneijder is both over 26 and extortionate. It's confirmed Gill is in Zurich for a meeting, not in Milan negotiating a deal. I'd love to be wrong but if Fergie was lying about anything I think it's more likely to be about Nasri. He doesn't completely rule out Nasri and says that the Arsenal board can't be happy with the possibility of Nasri leaving on a free which to me suggests he's trying to appeal to the Arsenal board rather than Arsene and also to Nasri to let him know we're not going to wait.
TheFamousNo7
Oh really ? Scholes is irreplaceable ??? Is that supposed to be an undeniable (totally neutral) FACT ??? It pretty much looks like youll be playing with 10 men next season then??? No player is ''untransferable" - FACT! Sneijder not for sale? that is debatable , wait and see! Inter not wanting to sell? Yep they probably wont want to , but as for any player its merely down to the price as to whether they will sell. I would say no smoke without fire..Im not guaranteeing he will be sold but to me theres enough to cause doubt either way
Blue_Mel
You still obsessing over whether i'm neutral on a matter? lol! Seriously though, get over it. Scholes being irreplaceable wasn't my opinion though it is one I share. Scholes is considered by most as the best in his position, the best of his generation, etc, etc according to footballing legends like Zidane, Henry, Charlton, Fergie, Guardiola, Davids, Viera, Hoddle, Adams, Lippi, Blanc, Neville, Keane, Best, etc, etc and soon to be legends like Xavi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Nani, in fact, pretty much who has ever seen Scholes play football or had the honour of playing against him. Whilst i'm at it I may as well kill 2 birds with one stone, Giggs, Scholes and Neville are/were untransferrable - FACT! As for no smoke without fire, Trezeguet, Akinfeev, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Stekelenberg are just a few examples of smoke without fire.
TheFamousNo7
Scholes is irreplaceable, and as FN7 points out, he is considered to be the best midfielder of his generation by his peers. I seriously doubt Sneijder will join United, its about money, and United will not pay stupid money for him. Especially not when we have got a lot of young talented players comming through, I think SAF will bite his time, and hope of the young players step up.. Still we have got Anderson, who could hit top gear this season.
nordkap
I dnt even know what to believe anymore d transfer is becoming so annoying.............all i know is we r gonna be needing some to replace d void left by scohles.....
henry_shyboy
What happened to Anderson? Thought he was the one being groomed to replace Scholes? He'll certainly get more playing time now that the ginger hacker has retired, but signing Sneijder will just set him back again.
fifthcolumnblue
I'm with you Henry its getting very annoying. I don't think we are anywhere near strong enough in the center of the park. If Fergie wants to get closer to Barca he has to buy, we can't go into the next season with it weaker then what it was before. Personally I feel we should be replacing Hargreaves too.
rooneyisgod
Anderson on his day is great player but due to his inconsistency it's never a guarentee he will be playing to the best of his ability. Anderson is also our only attack-minded midfielder meaning he's got no competition to push him for a starting place in the team. Also, in the event he's injured we have no back-up plan leaving us in the exact same position we were in last season. I firmly believe he can be a great player and you have a more than valid point about signing a Sneijder-esque player setting him back after showing promise that's why i'm keen on another young enthusiastic player being signed rather than a mid 20's established star who will hinder Anderson and other youngsters development.

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2011/07/15/2576035/nike-emerge-as-key-to-wesley-sneijder-completing-352m Yes Mr Ferguson , whatever you say , Mr Ferguson , Three bags full Mr Ferguson...Dont know anything about the colour of your nose , buts certainly getting longer by the day
Blue_Mel
or perhaps , its all just smoke screen for this deal ? http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/100m-price-tag-placed-on-united-targets-head Which would of course prove the Qatar link - something which Frguson would want to be kept quiet till after the transfer business
Blue_Mel
I hope this story is true, Sneijder is the best and obvious option for our midfield. Carrick and Anderson are not up to the task. We have lost a legend in Scholes and an unfortunate Hargreaves who if both were fully fit at the same time would of been our midfield pairing and both need replacing now, who honestly would be comfortable going into next season with Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson and Giggs as our midfield options? At the moment we completely lack any sort of threat from the centre of midfield and this needs to be rectified before the season starts, last season we had the advantage of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool self destructing, I cannot see that happening again and you can now add Man Sh.itty into the mix also, so our current midfield situation is very worrying. All this talk of Sneijder being overpriced is ******** funny this is the same transfer window where Henderson cost 20 million and in the winter window Andy Carroll cost 35 million going by them figures alone we should be prepared to pay 50 million for Sneijder. Shirt sales and merchandising would rake in a lot of our potential outlay on Sneijder plus any potential prize money and possible sponsorship would also cover a lot of our costs. One more thing why the ***** are we, Manchester United, talking like we shop at Aldi we are the biggest ******** club in the world are we not? Do we not rake in a ***** load of dough every season making us possibly the most profitable club in the world, lets be honest here the slimy *****ers who bought our great club bought it because it was a cash cow not because they love the club or the sport so we expect, no we ******** demand, that our club gets the best players available and Sneijder is one of those players. (Anderson will never ever be a great player). Sorry for the rant but this whole will he, wont he bs transfer story is *****ing me right off.
Kanchelskis
hm sends Kanchelskis home to study a dictionary /thesaurus to see if he can learn better words than you would find coming from the average schoolboy, just as my appreciation of the average Man Utd fan was starting to improve thanks to my friend FN7..Kanchelskis , if you think United are so well off and can afford any cookie in tyhe jar..why you so limiting your club to Sneijer? Why not just go the whole hog and buy back Ronaldo and/or Messi ?
Blue_Mel
United football club is an extremely profitable football club, and produces a high operating profit year in and year out. When Glazers bought United, they leveraged it heavily with debt, hence most of our operating profit is being used to pay of interest. Unfortunately this has put a limit to our transfer spending. however I do disagree a little with you Kanchelski, I dont want us to a pay a stupid salary to a player who is 27. I do however agree that Sneijder is one of the best AM right now, and I would love to see him, but even without the Glazers weighing down our club with debt, we would still be causious with our money, we always have been. If we are not cautios in our spending we will end up like *****ty and Chelski, a laughing stock in terms of a business.

Hey guys , Talksport know sthe truth , and the rest of the world knows the truth . United fans have had 25 years of him and they still cant figure out that Mr Ferguson is a BSer. As i mentioned above, his nose (whatever the colour) has grown somewhat recently ...and here is the photographic evidence http://www.talksport.co.uk/magazine/features/2011-07-16/no-man-united-interest-sneijder-and-more-truth-according-fergie
Blue_Mel
Bookies suspended betting on Sneijder to United..and opened a boko on how long Fergies nose will get this summer
