New England Revolution 1 United 4

United began their USA pre-season tour, in the early hours of this morning, with a comfortable victory.

Playing, in Boston, against New England Revolution, United chalked up a 4-1 win.

The United goals came from Owen, who opened the scoring, followed by two from Macheda and a fourth from Park.

A victory slightly soured by the news that Antonio Valencia will miss the entire tour due to an ankle injury picked up on international duty.

Video Highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdr7LzwxFNc --- It's only a friendly against a weak side but quite a few positives can be drawn out of this. Firstly, I think Carrick has finally mastered the art of playing the ball forward, with 2 very good balls to both Macheda and Owen. Macheda was really sharp in front of goal and looked so comfortable when scoring his first with his weaker foot. Owen showed us why he should stay whilst Berby showed us why he should go. Obertan looked decent and like java (in the other article) said Young looked decent but would perhaps be better off on the right and leave the left side to someone who can cross with both feet or just their left foot. Andersons passing also looked really quite good. Park and Giggs link up as well as Parks finish was amazing and the pick of the bunch. Couldn't be asked to rewrite it :P
