Muscle Men!

Two notable absentees from the party that has gone Stateside are Darren Fletcher and David de Gea.

Fletcher, sidelined by a virus that saw him lose a stone in the second half of last season, is, we`re reliably informed, working out in the gym on a daily basis to put the muscle back on a body that looked very lean when he made a mini-comeback in April / May of last season.

De Gea, we`re also informed, is working out in the gym with the aim of baulking out his frame. Perhaps the fear is there that the young Spanish keeper might be a little fazed by the physical attributes he`ll encounter in the Premier League with steps being taken to pre-empt any problems!

Good to hear Fletcher is back on the up and hopefully he will be back in action as soon as the season begins. De Gea's bulking up is no surprise and shows he's got a good attitude, a massive difference in the Premier League is the brute force and physicality of it, he should be able to handle himself well against the Stokes of the league.

Can't wait to see De Gea in action, probably most excited by him of our buys this summer.
