O`Shea`s Gone Too!

O`Shea`s Gone Too!

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Wes Brown had signed for Sunderland came another confirming that John O`Shea had also called time on his United career.

O`Shea, just like Brown, has decided that Sunderland is the best option for him and like Brown has put pen-to-paper on a four year deal.

At the time of writing no fee has been reported for the transfer but, again like Brown, O`Shea seems pretty keen to get his Sunderland career underway, commenting about the move to the media,

"Once I`d heard reports about the club and the people here the ambitions and what the manager was all about, it was the only place I was going to come to."

Just like Brown, we`d like to thank John for his service to the cause and wish him well at his new club!

We could end up regretting this.

When we suffer our annual injury crisis at the back, like Kanchelskis and others have said, we will regret selling him. He's such a useful player to have in the squad and can come in at any moment with no real form and put in a solid shift in pretty much any position.

O'Shea you've been nothing short of brilliant for us and as gutted as I am to see you go I'm also happy that you will be getting the first team action a player of your calibre deserves.
