'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Trailed in Fifth?

Of the sports available for viewing, I`ll admit that Horse Racing, despite it being the sport of kings, is one sport I can take or leave.

Occasionally I`ll tune in to watch a big race like The Grand National or The Derby but after that my fascination somewhat wanes.

Therefore, I find it strange why I`m actually writing this article but then again I find it strange why I do several things in life.

Perhaps it might just be the Manchester United connection though that has raised my stirrups!

Some of you may recall how Michael Owen had a winner at Ascot recently when his horse, called Brown Panther romped home.

Well that very same horse was running in the German Derby this weekend and hopes were high that Owen could net another winner.

Sadly it proved to be false optimism when the horse trailed in fifth. It`s a good job I didn`t have an arm and a leg on it then!

In my eyes horse racing is about as fun and interesting as paint drying.

Its right up there with Golf - rubbish. National is the only one for me, normally cause I have quite a bit of money down.
