City Favourites for Nasri!

City are on the move!

Our cash heavy Manchester neighbours appear to have stolen a lead on us when it comes to possibly procuring Samir Nasri from Arsenal.

Roberto Mancini has decided that if he can`t have Alexis Sanchez then he`ll press his Arab paymasters to provide enough oil cash to lure the French international to Eastlands.

City look set to go in with a starting offer of 15 million for the player and with Arsene Wenger almost vowing not to sell him to United, we could be waving goodbye to any potential deal!

Never mind; having won naff-all at Arsenal it`ll come as no shock to win naff-all at City won`t it!

Being the 'favourite' means nothing. There's favourites for players every year that don't end up getting the player. I'm still expecting him to sign a new contract at Arsenal. I would also be shocked if Arsenal decided to sell to City rather than us.
TheFamousNo7
Surely Arsenal would be favourites to keep him next season considering he is under contract for another season there, if he does get let go by Arsenal I can't imagine Wenger would want him to go to another prem club he'll prob end up at milan, juve, madrid or the like. I wish he would move soon or sign a new contract with Arsenal I'm sick of hearing about his supposed transfer the media are really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this story everyday its the same story printed slightly differently.

Its gonna be a shame for nasri to leave arsenal n join city...jst because they won d fa cup last season doesnt change nothing....they aint gonna win nothing this season and i can bet on that, his gonna be a better player if he joins united am so sure his gonna pick trophies instead of money........*wink*
henry_shyboy
City favourites? First I've heard of it RedBoy, City have denied interest. Win naff all? Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't City win the same amount of trophies as U*d last year?
Bluedub
bluedub - you won the same amount of trophies as Real Madrid and one more than Chelsea. It sure as hell doesnt mean you're on our or their levels. But as for Nasri, I believe he'll stay at Arsenal
ForeverUnited
FU - we were 9 points off U*d last year, closed the gap by more than 50% on the year previous. If we keep progressing at the rate we're going we'll be in contention for trophies just as much as any of the teams you've mentiones, get used to it, we're not going away anytime soon.
Bluedub
bluedub - 9 points even after buying all those players and after what most people said was a terrible season for us? I guess 100 mil more and you'd have caught up with us huh? And I don't want you to go away. I want you to be around to dream of becoming the massive club that we are.
ForeverUnited
oh i cud feel ur joy its not easy after so many years its understanable ok....lol @Bluedub
henry_shyboy
FU - that was Mancini's first full season in the PL and he finished level on points with 2nd place, don't delude yourself, City now have the spending power U*d have had for years, so we will be challenging for titles too.
Bluedub
Bluedub, only minor thing you fail to mention is that United spend what they earn themselves and are in debt only because of the leveraged takeover. City on the other hand are not responsible for their budget. Respect cant be earned that way.
Deltaforce
I'm not looking for respect Delta, just stating the facts that City will be challenging regardless of where the money came from.
Bluedub
It's got to be said whilst City had a good season we did have an average one overall mainly due to a p155 poor away record. If Arsenal had a good season as well as ourselves and Chelsea the gap would've been greater than 9. Well, I reckon it would've anyway.
TheFamousNo7
It's also got to be said that the bulk of this City team is in it's infancy and will only get stronger the longer the core remains playing together.
Bluedub
Bluedub are you trying to compare the FA cup to the Premiership? No ones scared of City.
rooneyisgod
RIg - no I'm not comparing the PL to the FA Cup. My point was City won the same number of trophies as U*d last year, this was a retort to RedBoy saying that City will win naff all. I'm also not suggesting anyone is scared of City or that they should be, I'm simply saying that City will be seriously challenging for trophies next season, including the PL.
Bluedub
hey jst because u guys won d fa cup last season it doesnt mean u guys where good enough or something it was based on other teams poor perfomance...and u definately know that it was due to d fatigue from d previous game we played that gave u guys d chance to have a go at us......so dnt u there think that we r mates in any way ok.......WE R MANCHESTER UNITED AND U GUYS R ALWAYS GONNA BE D CITIZENS......weve been there done that and seen it all !!!!!!!!!!!
henry_shyboy
"so dnt u there think that we r mates in any way ok" eh?
bluedub
in every family theres always gonna be a senior and a junior in dis case u guys r definately d junior and u will always be until...................so get use to it d female national team can never be compared to d mens....lololololol!!!!!11
henry_shyboy
