Time to Get it Kick-Started?

Time to Get it Kick-Started?

I get the feeling our interest in the Arsenal player, Samir Nasri, might up until now, been media driven.

But things could be about to change!

Interestingly, the word on the street is that the sudden interest reputedly being shown by Manchester City may well be enough to trigger Sir Alex Ferguson into showing his hand.

City`s interest, according to the media, has been triggered by the announcement from those that run our 'noisy-neighbours` that their interest in the Udinese winger - Alexis Sanchez has been terminated.

Although Arsene Wenger has inferred that Nasri will not be sold to United, as we`ve remarked before, we`re under the impression that an official bid in the region of £20 million may be the trigger to see the deal kick-started.

Although I wouldn`t put it past Arsenal to, if they have to lose the player, deciding that they`d rather lose him to City, unless Nasri has no inclination to play for our noisy-neighbours then it could be a different kettle of fish!

I have seen enough of football to know one thing that in today's footballing world, the only person that has power is the player and his agent. If samir is serious about leaving, there is nothing arsenal can do but to hope that they have a bidding war in front of them and get as much as they can.Does anyone think that the arsenal board will leave a sum of say 20-25million and let him go for free next year?

Let me also make 1 more thing clear,I'm not saying for one moment that he will leave Arsenal and join City or UTD.All I'm saying is that we should be practical and accept that even your biggest players will sometimes want to leave for whatever reason and join someone else.

We too had a similar problem with Ronaldo but in the end he got what he wanted and we got a crazy fee for him.I was extremely disappointed, angry with him leaving us but today I feel we got the better deal as we continue to win major trophies without him and do extremely well in the CL.In the end its not about who u lose but how you use the money from his sale to get a proper replacement and pls. don't tell me that a particular player cannot be replaced, thats just bull*****.Everyone can be replaced,if u have the brains to replace them!!!

Well said Antriksh. I've said all along that Nasri doesn't seem too fussed about where his future lies which puts us in a rubbish position straight from the off. I still reckon he will be at Arsenal next season though, where he will sign a new contract.
