'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Keep an Eye Out!

It`s rumoured that it could be squeaky-bum time down in North London.

Arsene Wenger, coming under serious pressure to put some silverware in the Emirates cabinet could well be waving goodbye to two players that are the heartbeat of his enterprising, but trophy-less, side.

Cesc Fabregas remains a Barcelona target and, providing the price is right, Arsenal look set to sell the Spanish midfielder.

Samir Nasri, now about to enter the last year of his contract and, currently, not about to commit to another one, is still being mentioned in communications linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

Although Arsene Wenger has previously decreed that Nasri will not be sold to Manchester United, he could come under increasing pressure to ensure that he doesn`t fall into the same trap whereby Mathew Flameni was allowed to run his contract down and leave for nothing.

Suddenly, quite possibly, an offer of £20 million from United could be very enticing.

Also, if Arsenal were to sell both Fabregas and Nasri, there`s the likelihood that Arsene Wenger will have a transfer kitty of circa £60 million to revamp his side. Watching how Arsene goes about spending that sort of cash to appease those who now crave silverware rather than simply watch beautiful football; will be an interesting scenario!

As much as I want to see us sign Nasri I don't think its going to happen. Fabregas has probably already started packing.

I still think if we were to sign him we would have to wait until January. Like rooneyisgod said though, I can't see it happening, I still reckon he will sign a new contract. As for Wenger, his obsession with emulating a Barca-esque game and approach to football will mean it will be some unknown youngster which ultimately means he's doomed to fail for another 5 years.
