Nasri Bid Imminent?

Arsene Wenger has implied that he`ll not even contemplate selling Samir Nasri to Manchester United!

But could Sir Alex Ferguson be about to test his resolve!

The reason I ask is that the buzz is that United are contemplating making a bid of £20 million, for the so-called contact rebel who is 24 today!

Keep your eyes on this one, there`s just something about it that makes me think it has more miles in it!

he would be excellent for you but i cant see arse selling him to you

Prefer to have him over Modric or Sneijder. He's younger, a great dribbler of the ball who can unlock defenses, can play a decent pass and is good with both feet. He can't quite dictate play the way the others do but his approach will definately compliment our counter attacking style. Should be cheaper also. I hope this one's true, admittedly though it's a faint hope. Like jljyid said Arsenal will be reluctant to sell to us so we may have to wait until January and either get him dirt cheap or sign him on a free.

No way we're gonna sell to you guys. He's sat down for talks at the moment with our board. Remains to be seen what happens. But chances of you guys signing him remain minimal. Although I wouldn't rule it out. Arsene has been known to act strange some times. For example, the Gallas-Cole swap deal.

TFno7, as far as the Nasri situation goes you seem consistently blinkered. To you, there are only two scenarios - either Nasri stays on at Arsenal without signing a new contract OR he is purchased by United. You forget two other scenarios in your haste, he could be sold abroad or he could sign a new contract on improved terms. If it makes you feel good, you should continue to dream though!

If we are not going to bother even trying for Sneijder we should be in for Douglas Costa, for all this waffle about Nasri and Modric can you really see them in a Utd shirt, I certainly can't nor would I particularly want to. Hamsik, Kuzmanovic, Willian, Hazard, Defour, there are other options out there yet only Sneijder really looks like he would suit us, but there's the obvious fee issues so either we cough up to get what we really need or we get someone in who could potentially be as good as Sneijder and that looks like being D Costa.

That goes to show how many of my comments you actually read Deltaforce. I've expressed numerous times before that I reckon he will sign a new contract and that if he were to leave Arsenal he doesn't appear too bothered about where he ends up thus still making us outsiders. However, when we're talking about the prospect of us, United, signing Nasri my comments are going to reflect the us, and only us, and how we would sign him, not another teams nor him staying at Arsenal.

i dnt see arsenal selling di guy.... get us d player we need and i dnt give a damn bout hw much any of em r worth jst get us d best..atleast none of d money is going into our pcket or is is ????.....
henry_shyboy
As much as I would love to see us have that sort of mindset henry, we simply can't afford to. We're not Madrid, we won't get bailed out for spending silly amounts well beyond what we earn simply because we want the best. Not even Barcelona can. We've got to watch the pennies i'm afraid and look for future stars who can also provide something, not the complete package but something, to the team now.
TheFamousNo7
Would love to get Nasri just for the kick in the teeth it will give the Gunners but can't see it myself. What ever happened to this Defour guy? Seems we are not interested anymore which is strange.
rooneyisgod
I wondered that also rooneyisgod but I suspect that his leg break has perhaps knocked the best out of him or maybe Fergie feels he's no longer a necessary signing.
