A Berbatov Move?

A Berbatov Move?

The announcement that Michael Owen had signed a one-year deal coupled with the fact that he was preferred to Dimitar Berbatov for the 18-man squad for the Champions League Final, cast doubts about the future of the Bulgarian international at Old Trafford.

Berbatov, who elected not to be visible at the reference Wembley fixture, responded by inferring that he wanted to remain at Old Trafford.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson faced a dilemma knowing that the aim of staying could be to run down his contract and leave for free, not something United would want after such a huge expenditure to lure him from Spurs.

Another option, brokered around, would be to use Berbatov in a player-exchange deal, with many suspecting Luka Modric could be the target.

Today though (Tuesday), news has broke that the French side, Paris St Germain, are considering making a £10 million bid, could this be the answer Sir Alex is looking for or will such a bid be turned down flat.

I would want a bit more then 10 million. If he goes who do we sign that would be as good if not better then him and who would be prepared to be 3rd choice behind Rooney and Hernandez.

Personally I would like to see him given a 2 year extension on his contract, see if he can replicate the form he displayed last season and if not sell him on for 10-15 mil. At current he's easily worth 15+ mil, he's the Premier League's top goal scorer and easily one of the best strikers in the world when on form. Even on an average day his touch, vision and presence alone can change a game. Drawing comparisons between other players with 1 year left on their contract, Young was 20 mil and Nasri is valued at 25-30 mil but considering they're younger I would assume we should expect 15 mil minimum. 10 mils an insult. If we're not going to offer him a new contract get rid of him as soon as, he will prevent Welbeck and Macheda from developing. I'd be gutted to see him go sooner than Owen. I'd be gutted to see him go after finally showcasing his talent to full effect for the first time since joining.

Modric is about as enthralled by Manchester life as Mr. Tevez, late of your parish. He's off to Chavski, and good riddance. Maybe we will stitch them up as we did you with the arrogant bulgar.

When Modric leaves good old Harry Redknapp will be in for his love child Joe Cole to lead the charge into the Europa league.

What? Joe Cole, the Cockney Messi, you've never heard of him? he's an incredible player, he was tapped up by Barca, Inter, Utd, Real, LA Lakers when he was 5 months old. Harry Redknapp seen him dribbling during lunch on a team orphanage visit, adopted him and raised him as his own. Joe had to build an extension on his house because of all the ballon d'ors and world player of the year trophies he has won, seriously No7 where have you been for the last few years or as we football purists like to call it the Cole-den Years. Although I can see where your physio confusion come's from he does tend to spend a lot of time in the physio's office some say more then the physio himself. I say we offer 40 million and see if the scousers are stupid enough to accept.

When I googled him and searched him on Wikipedia I just got something about him being washed up, overrated waste of space who sucks the clubs wage budget dry. Oh wait. I see my mistake. I misspelled 'Cole'. Haha! 'Torres' was well off.
