Welbeck Joy and England Woe!

It was classic England wasn`t it?

Ripping defeat from the jaws of victory at a time when only a win would do!

Last night, over in Denmark, the England U21 side knew that only a win would see them progress into the latter stages of the European U21 Championships.

So when our very own Danny Welbeck scored, following a ball in from Daniel Sturridge, with only a matter of a quarter of an hour (including stoppage time) to negotiate, we looked well set.

Unfortunately, a last minute equaliser, followed by an injury time winner, saw the Czech side run out 2-1 winners and for England the tournament was over!

Time to find that quiet beach lads for a bit of recuperation!

I really wanna see Welbeck given a chance next year. It does make me wonder we we kept Owen on for another year unless we are thinking of selling Berba

Typical England. A woeful midfield display from an otherwise decent midfield cost us as usual, no cover for the defense and no service or support for the attack. The positives we can take from this is some of our U21's weren't bad at all. Jones looks a natural leader and may be our future captain. Smalling is solid. Welbeck was the only England player to hit the net and beat De Gea. De Gea's also looked amazing despite not being an official United player yet.
