Brown to Join Neville?

Phil that is not Gary!

After being deemed as surplus to requirements it had been expected that Wes Brown would be one of a trio of United stars possibly heading for the Stadium of Light.

Apparently not!

It appears that Wes wants to stay in the north-west and a move to Everton would suit him better, particularly as it would see him join up with ex-United stalwart Phil Neville.

A fee of £3 million is mentioned by the media but it looks as if the deal is at an early stage still!

We`ll keep you informed of any positive developments.

I'm shocked he's joining a club where he will be nothing more than back-up again. I thought he would've made a real push for the first-team playing time and went to Sunderland. Oh well, it's his choice. Thanks for everything Brown and best of luck to you for the future.

definetly not coming to Everton especially for 3mil. If he was available on a free then I might be able to see it happening, but for 3milit is ridiculous. Everyone knows that our defensive stocks are solid, we need reinforcements in the midfield and more importantly up front and that is where all our money will be going, not to a 30 something year old who would be 3rd choice RB and 4th choice CB.

Not sure TFN7 - think he might be able to get the right back spot and put Nev in centre mid.

Nev wont be playing in the middle, Fellaini and Arteta will be in the middle, with Neville, Hibbert or Coleman at right back. No room for Wes Brown, as I said, he would be nothing more than a bench warmer and I dont see Moyes spending 3mil on a benchwarmer when we are desperate for a striker
