Ozil Enquiry Turned Down!

The quest to fill the void left by the retirement of Paul Scholes led to, the tabloid press believe, a polite enquiry to Real Madrid for Ozil.

The polite enquiry was, unfortunately, knocked back with his agent, Reza Fazeli, commenting,

"We thank Manchester United for their interest but Ozil is fine in Madrid and has no intention of leaving this club."

Therefore, we can only speculate what sort of impact he could have made!

I'm not buying this. If Fergie wanted Ozil he would've made a bid before he went to Real just after the World Cup, not now that he's a big part of their set-up. Plus, I prefer Gotze over Ozil.

Who makes this ***** up, is Ozil after a wage increase at real? So according to his agent we didn't want him when he was cheap but now we want him when he is a lot more expensive lol

Didn't U*d enquire about Ozil last summer? Seems very strange that his agent would say this if there's no truth to U*d interest.

No way this is true, as TFN7 says, why now and not last season when he cost a fraction of what Real would sell him for.. A lot of writing about Sanchez though, if Fergie signs him, I would be delighted, remember he can play in the middle as wel..

You have to laugh, when a player turns down your advances the story must be untrue. You seem to believe you have a divine right to sign who you want and that they will automatically sign when you come knocking.

It's nothing of the sort Bluedub. Do you genuinely believe Fergie would enquire about Ozil in the belief he can get him after just signing for Madrid and having an amazing season? A man who bangs on about value for money would see sense in spending over 40 mil for Ozil? Like you said we enquired before and to me it looks more like the newspaper recycling that old story and selling it as something new rather than actual events.

Sanchez is a player I wouldn't mind but for the money Udinese want he would be a massive risk adn there's better options available. I'd prefer to see us sign everyone on the poll sooner than I would like to see us sign him.

It just strikes me as strange that his agent would say this if there's no truth to it, what has he got to gain from saying it? He is quoted as saying he's happy in Madrid so it's not an old quote.

heheh, henry I think you misunderstood me. I wasn't suggesting we should sign them all, though I see how you were under that impression, but was stating i'd sooner us have anyone of them over Sanchez.
