Nani Staying!

Our Portuguese flyer, Nani, seems particularly fond of generating column inches.

The latest column filler infers that although he`d like to work under the leadership of his fellow Portuguese citizen, Jose Mourinho, he is perfectly happy at Old Trafford and sees no reason to move on, thereby seemingly ending those whispers that he could he heading for the out door.

This is what Nani had to say to the media,

"Would I like to work under Mourinho? Yes, but I am fine at United."

"This was my best year for United and it was a surprise not to start against Barcelona, although I played 20 minutes. But that was Alex Ferguson`s decision and I accept it."


With Ashley young now on the books, could Nani`s appearances, in a red-shirt, become fewer and fewer or is he an essential part of Sir Alex Ferguson`s plans?

Nani's become a key part of the set-up and I can't imagine Fergie letting him leave. Nani, you just might get to work with Mourinho when Fergie retires so you're best of staying put.

well i think nani is gonna do better next season..im looking foward to a nani young combination..i think gonna be something to watch out for....

I can't imagine Young getting in the team over Valencia or Nani. He's there for competition no doubt but I can imagine him playing through the center if anywhere.

well its not jst gonna happen all of a sudden its gonna take a while but on d long run i see him benching valencia...valencia is gonna be something like a super sub....i would really love to see hw n nani,young play together...or he cud try nani frm d middle playing behind rooney and young n valencia on d flanks its really gonna nice to see..even fergie has admitted that he wud love to see nani playing as a striker one day.........

Could see Valencia moving into the middle on some occassions next season. I deffinatley think hes capable of playing there.
