Jones Deal Finally Done

Jones Deal Finally Done

Or is it?

After all the shenanigans of the last few days it wouldn`t surprise me if something else reared its ugly head to disrupt the deal.

But we`re led to believe that Phil Jones will become a United player once the current ongoing European U21 Championships in Denmark come to a conclusion for England.

It`s being reported that although Blackburn Rovers wanted more cash up front, United stood their ground and will pay Blackburn £16.5 million now with the total fee rising to something akin to £20 million depending on how successful Jones is at United.

United will hand over further cash when Jones makes a certain number of appearances, when he wins honours with United and when he amasses international caps.

Unless someone knows different that is?

Good to hear the club stood strong in it's initial bid. The future incentives are fair enough and the fee itself may appear miniscule when you take into consideration how long he could be at the club for and the success he can contribute to.

Erm U*d didn't stand their ground, they conceded ground in agreeing to the performance related payments.
