Hypothetical Transfer?

There are some strange comments in the press that relate to our club captain, Nemanja Vidic.

They first appeared yesterday, in the Sunday press, but I chose to ignore them. But they`re back today and giving us cause for alarm.

Now if they`re intended to give us United supporters some sort of warm feeling about our captains future at Old Trafford, it seems a strange way to go about things with his agent, Silvano Martina, commenting,

"He`s a player everyone wants."

"I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he said 'I am the captain of Manchester United, earning well, I`ve won almost everything. Why should I go to Italy when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?` This response removes any doubt about where his future lies - he stays where he is."

Glad to hear it, but what on earth is a hypothetical transfer when it`s at home?

We seem to have this every year and every year Vidic remains strong in his stance that he won't leave. He doesn't need to keep iterating it to the media, he says it and that's it, full stop end of conversation. He just signed a new contract and appears as happy as can be and it reflects through him being the best CB in the world.

Vidic is not stupid he is captain of the biggest greatest club in the world. He earns a lot of money and has earned the respect and admiration of every one of us through his displays and attitude on the pitch and his professionalism off it. Being the best best centre back in the world helps too. Hypothetical transfer? It's a pity agents are not hypothetical.
