The Price Isn`t Right!

I guess it wasn`t supposed to happen like that!

I suppose it was meant to all go through as smooth as clockwork!

Instead the press are alive with the inference that all is not quite as it should be with regards to the transfer of Phil Jones form Blackburn Rovers to Manchester United.

Whilst Jones may very well have passed a medical and also agreed terms, Blackburn are now disputing the price United thought they could get the youngster for.

United believed that they had met the asking price in a clause in Jones` contract but Blackburn begging to differ with their owners, the Venky brothers, believing meeting the buy-out clause doesn`t force them to sell and that they view the player as being worth £25 million.

All we can hope is that this financial bickering doesn`t see the lads dream move collapse!

If there's a buy-out clause surely that means when the fee is met you're forced to sell. I can't imagine Jones being too happy if he's now forced to stay at Blackburn after seemingly completing a massive move in his career.

The more "off" than on the better this gets, £16 - £17m is far too much for unproven talent, look at Bebe, it seems as though the club will be willing to write off £5.5m with him. Rumours in the press today suggest it's not the price, but his dodgy knee which kept him out for four months last season, the last thing we want is another Hargreaves.

It's apparently not a buy-out clause that was triggered with the offer, the clause in the contract says it's the minimum offer required to get permission to speak to the player.

Plus the scouse are offering more loot though no champions league.I feel he has more of a chance there than at united.Jamie on the verge of retiring,Agger always out,Skrtel's form dwindling,Kryriakos ancient. You in safe hands with Vidic,Rio,Smalls & Evans.
