'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More Potential Signings

The red-top press is insistent that Sir Alex Ferguson will be spending this summer.

As well as the proposed moves for Wesley Sneijder and Ashley Young, they`re also inferring that two Premier League players are also on the agenda.

The first is Jack Rodwell.

Yesterday, our reported interest in the Everton player was said to have cooled with it being cited that his persistent injury problems were the reason why. Today, in the fickle world of the red-tops, that view has been turned on its head with it once again being reported that he remains in our transfer sights.

The second Premier League player linked with a move to Old Trafford is Ciaran Clark, of Aston Villa, with it being implied that a £7 million deal would interest Sir Alex with Clark bolstering our defensive ranks.

But, nowhere amongst all the tittle-tattle is there any reference to either player actually being available.

I guess we`ll just have to watch and see!

The red-top press is insistent that you'll be spending EVERY summer.

Transfer rumours become stale when they're reiterated every summer. Why would we want Rodwell? He's injury prone and never had a sustained run in the Everton team to get a register of how he has progressed and what stage he's currently at. We already have a defensive midfielders and if we were to sign another they would have to add some serious steel and ball playing ability. I don't know much of Clark to be perfectly honest.

I guess Jones signing negates the Clark rumours!

It must do Red Boy, I thought Clark was a decent prospect myself and maybe worth taking a punt on.
