'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Anyone but Us!

Speculation relating to our interest in the Arsenal player, Sami Nasri, has uncovered a little gem.

Yesterday we speculated on how, on French television, Nasri had inferred that he would be interested in a United move and wasn`t sure he`d sign another contract, remarks that are echoed in a quote in the press this morning,

"I don`t know if I will sign a new contract with Arsenal. Discussions are ongoing and we`ll talk about it this week. Do I want to go to United? First we must see if it`s real."

But, similarly, it appears that his current boss, Arsene Wenger, is reticent to sell him to us, commenting in the media when pressed on the ongoing situation,

"What is certain is we won`t be selling to Manchester United."

We`ll see!

Well, if he wants to join Man U and Wenger is reluctant to sell i'm sure we can wait until January and pick him up for free, then send Wenger a thank you letter for saving us 10-20 mil. Personally I still can't see him joining us, he's doesn't seem too fussed about his destination if he were to leave Arsenal and so it wouldn't surprise me if Barca or Madrid plucked him. Either way, Wenger is going to have resign to the fact that he's going to lose Fabregas and possibly Nasri also.

Wouldn't go breaking your arms patting yourselves on the back just yet - The press have been linking Nasri to united, so it's only natural that Wenger would mention not selling to you. Overinflated opinion of yourselves or what!

Hello again nerdkrap. Do you ever post your own opinions, or do you just post in response to me? Redboy must surely owe me a pint for all the traffic my presence on Vital Rag brings. :p

Thats a demented view TFno7. Do you realise that Arsenal can accept an offer from any club regarding Nasri leaving the player no choice but to commence discussing personal terms? If a club decides not to sell to a particular club it can easily be done IF the player who is being sold is in DEMAND. Nasri is in demand. Either way, Nasri will stay with Arsenal, this is only a wage negotiation tactic.

Did you read my whole post deltaforce? I acknowledged that if he were to leave i doubt he's too fussed about joining United in particular therefore other clubs can pluck him. Is it necessary that i go into further detail and explain why? Do I need to sit here and say because Arsenal can reject our bids and accept others? I thought it was pretty obvious.

The chest thumping in this article was as if you have already purchased Nasri TFno7. I thought it was too obvious to point out that it will not be the case but because the author of the article doesnt get it it needed to be said.
